Overview
The Master’s degree in Modern Philology (LM-14) offers three curricula:
- Literature
- Historical, Theoretical and Applied Linguistics
- European Renaissance Studies International (in partnership with the University of Bonn).
This course aims to provide students with specific knowledge of the historical phases of Italian language and literature, from its classical and medieval heritage to European modernity, equipping them with the philological, theoretical, and methodological skills necessary to handle complex literary and linguistic issues independently.
Career opportunities
This degree course prepares graduates for careers associated with cultural heritage and writing, publishing and journalism, as well as positions in archives, libraries, authorities, cultural centres, organizations and institutions. It also allows access to further training for middle and high school teachers.
